Employment Opportunities in Environmental Education (Position runs from September 1st through late May)

Salary: $8.45/hour with 40 hours per week ($338 per week). Time and a half paid for over 40 hours. Housing available for $40 per week. Limited health insurance plan provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach environmental education day and evening classes to predominantly 3rd-8th grade students throughout the week days.
  • Maintain teaching laboratories and provide care for educational animals.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance and basic janitorial needs.

Requirements:

  • Commitment, genuine interest in child development, dynamic personality, well-developed communication skills, creativity, and leadership ability.
  • Bachelor's in Education, Natural Science, Environmental Education, or a related field preferred.

Extensive training is provided upon employment.
