Burton 4-H Center

Go with Zoe on an Underwater Adventure!

Zoe's Underwater Adventure

The Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island was home to Zoe, the logger head sea turtle.  She was released back to the ocean on September 30, 2017 and since then, she's been exploring her new surroundings.  We raised over $2,000 towards her satellite tracker to see where she goes from here. Visit https://zoatrack.org/projects/513/analysis to track her process and be sure to also follow us on Facebook for more updates.

Zoe was rescued five years ago as a straggler.  As an ambassador for sea turtle conservation with the Georgia 4-H Environmental Education program, Zoe made friends with over 40,000 people.  Her satellite tracker was mounted to her shell so not only can we follow her ocean journey, but will also provide scientists with an increased understanding of sea turtles and the threats they face.

Please help support Zoe's Journey.  Donate today and help us see where she goes next. Please be sure to select Burton 4-H Center: Zoe's Underwater Adventure.
